Star X3 Kochsystem für Kaffee

The last time we went backpacking, I was less than impressed with our kitchen setup. I wanted something simple that could handle the cooking needs of 2 people without taking up to much space and could boil water quickly. I think this is perfect. The pot is plenty big for heating up chili or something similar for 2. It is not to deep, so it is easy to use. I preferred this size over the full 1 L, since it will hold 1 L if you fill it slightly below the top. .8 L still leaves about an 1 inch of room from the top. In the home environment it boiled .4L of water in 90 seconds and .8L in less than 3 minutes. Impressive. On a cold camping morning it may take longer, but that is fine. The accessory pot stand is very stable for using a small fry pan. This is the perfect setup I have been looking for and the price was right.

Why pay $120 when you can get the equivalent performance to a jet boil with this! Totally perfect. Highly recommended.

This is a decent system, the wide pot makes for easy cooking. The flame control is fantastic and it can simmer quite easily. The X3 replaces my 2011 JB Zip with the same .8L capacity in a narrow pot that was slower to boil and lacked the flame control which made it a boiler only.
It was a good choice and I saved money.
Packing it was interesting as it only pacts correctly with a fuel canister one way, see the box and instruction diagrams.

Boils water, stores small, good quality. All parts nest away inside with a 100 gram fuel tank. Se pics tor nesting order. Storage bag can fit 1 standard Mountainhouse meal.

Star X3 Cooking System for Coffee

It’s so simple and practical to use. I have my 1st cup of coffee, and no time at all but most of all.

Boils water fine but takes 4-5 mins not 2-3

This should be issued to us as it works for all my food needs in the field andni dont have to eat mres or the things the cooks call food in the field. Will never leave home without it

This thing works we used it for bikepacking and we loved it

It packs into a relatively small package including fuel. The controls are simple. Ignition works perfectly. It is extremely wind resistant. In the picture it boiled water in under a minute in high winds on the beach! I cooked about fifteen times in four days. The 230g fuel canister doesn't even feel half empty.

I had various types of food with me. The best use is to boil water, in my opinion. This way you never have to clean it. Dehydrated food pouches that double as containers are best. I also did eat directly out of it. It wasn't an issue but I prefer not to get it dirty at all so that I don't have to clean it. Instead, cleaning a mess kit is easier. Nothing against the device at all. I may continue to cook and eat out of it in the future especially if a water source is nearby.

Will use for Motocamping!

Awesome product boils water in under two minutes for the most part I feel like. And super lightweight and small.

This stove is pretty damn amazing and boils water very quickly good for making tea coffee soup and also placing a pan on top for extra cooking needs. The bottom of the pot will get marked up a bit on the inside but that's normal. will buy it again if mine ever breaks.

Took it out camping Monday and Tuesday absolutely loved it easy to use easy clean up and heats up faster then my jet boil

Great alternative to the more expensive backpacking stoves out there. Worked great on my last 2 trips.

Ive used it a few times now and it heats 0.8L of water fast, has a starter, and can pack with a 230g fuel can. So far a great product!

Boils water fast. Just as good as the jetboil. It takes 30 seconds longer then jetboil based on the youtube videos I have watched but its half the price and lets face it, if your camping and on vacation are you really gonna care that your boil time took 2minutes 30 seconds instead of 2 minutes..... I dont think so save yourself some money and buy this one
