I bought a brand-new Fire Maple star X1. Took it on a rafting trip. I never tried it before we went. My mistake and it would not ignite for anything. We had to use a lighter on the 5-day trip. They don't always light the smoothest with a lighter or match. Not a big deal....just annoying on something brand new. I ordered a new sparker from you and installed it. It sparks and cured the issue. So, I'm happy with the new ignitor but I had to buy it for a new unit.

I bought a few of these as spares, haven't needed them yet. I used one to replace the piezo my 2005 JB PCS and now the old J Boil has a reliable Piezo. I am happy that Fire Maple has spare parts at a reasonable price.

Will this igniter work on the torch?

FireMaple

No, it’s not compatible. This igniter has a shorter needle and is designed only for the Star X series stoves. The Torch stove requires a longer ignition needle.
