Keeps hot or cold well because is an excellent insulator (also temp of fluid doesn’t affect your holding fingers which metal or porcelain mugs often do!

I was looking for a camp cup I could easily have close, and could use for hot or cold drinks. It is light, beautiful, comfortable and well balanced in my hand. Easy to hang while hiking or in camp.(Other options I saw elsewhere were metal - yet not designed to put over heat) or the heavily insulated/plastic cups with lids.) This wooden cup promised to give me the hand protection with elegant simplicity. The volume of the cup is also good, as getting up for a refill is a good thing!
I will likely give it a treatment with food grade wood conditioner to give it better protection as it does feel a little rough inside the cup. I would like my tea to not just seep in on the first use. Otherwise, this wooden cup meets everything I expected.
