Polaris Pressure-regulator remote Gas Stove
One of the first outings with the Polaris pressure regulated stove found me in sub-freezing weather. little did I realize, my gas canister was almost empty. I needed to boil water for coffee and also cook a soup that would take about 10 minutes cook time. Even with the low fuel and temps this little stove worked perfectly, staying at a perfect low burn to simmer the soup without any sticking or burning. When I returned home and burned off remaining fuel to empty the can it only lasted about two minutes, telling me the regulator really worked to give me optimum burn in ridiculous conditions. My old stove would have never been up to this kind of weather. Other points of note, at just over 6oz the weight is reasonable, the remote hose keeps the canister away from the heat, and this makes the stove and pot have a greater stability. Stuffed in the included carry sack the stove fits neatly in my Firemaple 1.2L bush pot with room to spare. There may be cheaper stoves out there, but not for me.
