You know in all seriousness, and after 41 years of experience as a Search and Rescue Ranger, I think I've seen or used everything under the sun and far as backpacking stoves are concerned. And without trying to sound dramatic, this pot in combination with a Soto Windmaster stove and the three prong pot support, may very well be the best Kit for all but Mountaineering when very large amounts of snow must be melted. For I would say 95/98 percent of the rest of us. This pot with the neoprene sleeve is absolutely spot on. Lite, large enough without over doing it, great lid, a pour spout that actually works, no drips, and the best feature I think is the heat exchanger, I was somewhat skeptical of those at first, gimmick I wondered, but nope it's a real thing the actually increases the performance noticeably. All in all, if you asked me, I would say absolutely purchase this.

Simply the G.O.A.T. of backpacking cook pots! Perfect fit with a MSR pocket rocket deluxe, Soto Windmaster, or Fire Maple Green Peak II stove.

Absolutely amazing pot. An improvement could be having an additional handle attachment point on the opposite side. With the 2 attachment points Firemaple could create a bail handle accessory and left handed people could switch which side the handle is on for a more natural wrist turn when pouring.

I recently purchased the Firemaple Petrel Ultralight G2 Pot 750ml, and overall, it’s been a solid addition to my gear. It’s incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for backpacking or ultralight hiking trips. The size is just right for solo meals or for boiling water for dehydrated food.

The build quality is excellent—sturdy and durable, with a well-designed lid that fits snugly and a comfortable handle for pouring. It heats up quickly and evenly, which is exactly what I need when I’m out on the trail.

That said, I did run into an issue with the sleeve. Unfortunately, it melted a bit when I had it on the pot over medium heat. After that, I had to use the pot without the sleeve, which isn’t a huge deal, but it’s something to keep in mind if you plan to use it on higher heat settings. Despite this, the pot itself still functions flawlessly, so I can overlook the minor sleeve issue.

All in all, the Firemaple Petrel Ultralight G2 Pot 750ml is a great piece of gear for anyone looking to save weight and pack efficiency without compromising on performance. Highly recommend it!
