I am immensely impressed by this stove.

Two massive wins; an almost empty canister, cold conditions and it roared, while the jetboil was nearly barely alive!
Both those conditions would usually require preheating the canister and then struggling.

Side by side timing comparison with cold almost empty canister - jet boil 1st, took over 4 mins to not even boil 500ml of water. (Yes it usually does it incredibly fast with a full warm canister.)
But .. this stove, same canister and temp .. boiled 500ml of water in 1:58. That’s the performance I want in challenging conditions!
It is really compact. It folds down nicely into a solid plastic box which will keep it perfectly protected.
The 3 arms feel solid when folded out. I’m quite confident to put a larger pot on.

The air inlet that allows it to burn so well does make it somewhat noisey, but given its performance it simply doesn’t matter.

I’m so stoked I can now use gas at altitude and in the cold and use the last of the cylinder. Amazing.

The brass cover gives a lovely homely-earthy feel. I really like it! Thank you.

Excellent pot. Fits my Soto Windmaster perfectly and the best thing is it's fantastic in the wind when other stoves can't even boil water in wind over 5mph, the Petrel is still working fine.

I decided to grab this small pot for the sake of efficiency. I grabbed the petrel table to keep the pot on a steady platform. I haven't had it out on the trail but have prepared a couple of teas on the patio. It's definitely quicker, convenient and s fair price. I am happy.

This is a great option for those of us who want a fast and reliable method of boiling water. My time for boiling water was 1 min 50 seconds. The quality is excellent, and the pot arrived quickly. Very compact and light.

This is a great little stove that you can pack anywhere. It takes up very little space when not in use. It is easy to light and adjust and boils water very fast with little fuel use. I have used it to cook with both butane and propane gas fuel. It has been used on horse pack trips and canoe trips for both a primary and spare emergency stove and has never failed to serve as intended. The FireMaple pot with built in wind guard matched perfectly with the Torch model stove and it does keep the flame burning hot and steady. I would recommend this little stove to anyone wanting to save space and have a reliable source of cooking anywhere they might travel. It is now my favorite out of many I have owned.

I do a lot of ice fishing and being so compact is perfect. I definitely recommend.
