To unleash the full 11,000W potential, you must invert the gas canister (turn it upside down) to feed liquid gas to the burner.
CRITICAL: You MUST start the stove with the canister upright and let it burn for at least 30 seconds to warm up the dual pre-heat tubes. Only AFTER the tubes are hot should you invert the canister. Inverting a cold stove will cause dangerous, uncontrollable liquid flare-ups.

Yes, you can safely run this stove on 1lb green propane cylinders by attaching a propane adapter (such as the Fire-Maple Z1 Adapter). Propane performs exceptionally well in sub-zero basecamps, BUT you must strictly follow two critical safety rules:

1. UPRIGHT USE ONLY: NEVER invert a 1lb pure propane tank. The Saturn X's "inverted liquid-feed mode" is engineered STRICTLY for standard isobutane canisters. Pure propane operates at a vastly higher pressure; inverting it will force high-pressure liquid into the system and cause a highly dangerous, uncontrollable fireball.

2. Beware of 100% Full Tanks: Brand new, completely full 1lb propane tanks have extremely high internal pressure and liquid levels. When connecting a fresh tank, always keep it perfectly upright and open the stove valve very slowly to prevent liquid surges.
