What is the difference between the Star X1 Pro and Star X1?

The X1 Pro adds a rigid locking handle that folds across the lid during storage. It also includes two neoprene sleeves.
The Pro weighs 19.6 oz (555 g), making it slightly heavier than the original X1.

What does the locking handle do?

It locks in the open position for a firmer grip when lifting or pouring from the pot. During storage, it folds across the lid to help keep the packed system together.

The handle controls the pot after it has been removed from the burner. It is not intended for lifting the stove and fuel canister together.

How much water should I boil at once?

The pot has a total capacity of 33.8 fl oz (1 L).
Leave enough headspace to reduce the risk of boiling over. The stated 1-minute-42-second performance is based on 16.9 fl oz (500 ml) of water.

What fuel canisters does it use?

The Star X1 Pro fits standard EN417 threaded isobutane-propane canisters. Most 3.5–3.9 oz (100–110 g) canisters fit inside the pot with the burner and bowl.

Some wider canisters, including certain Coleman models, may connect to the stove but will not fit inside the pot. The fuel canister is sold separately.

Does it include a canister stand?

No. A fuel canister stand is not included with the Star X1 Pro.

Can I use other pots or pans?

The integrated burner is designed to lock directly to the X1 Pro pot. Using other cookware requires a separately sold compatible pot support.

Is it suitable for Scout campouts?

Yes. Its 1 L capacity and compact nesting work well as an individual or buddy cooking system for hot drinks, oatmeal, noodles, and freeze-dried meals.

Scouting America requires knowledgeable adult supervision when youths store, handle, or use chemical-fuel equipment. The stove should be operated according to its instructions and local unit rules.
