How does this differ from your smaller 600ml Petrel pots?

The Petrel 800 ("Ramen Pot") offers a wider base and roughly 30% more capacity. If you primarily eat large meals, cook ramen noodles, or want to boil water for food and coffee simultaneously, choose the 800ml.
If absolute minimum pack size is your goal, choose the 600ml.

Can I use this pot for frying or sautéing food?

Not recommended. Because the heat exchanger is incredibly powerful and transfers intense heat directly to the center of the thin aluminum base, frying or sautéing will almost instantly scorch your food and can permanently damage the pot. This pot is strictly optimized for boiling liquids, making soups, and cooking noodles.

Which stoves are compatible with this pot?

The grooved heat-exchanger base is precision-engineered to lock onto most popular 3-prong (120°) and 4-prong (90°) backpacking stoves.
Compatible models include:
