Which stoves fit the Petrel Ramen Pot?

The base includes separate alignment slots for compatible three- and four-arm stove supports. Arm count alone does not guarantee compatibility—the length, angle, spacing, and shape of the supports must also match.

Before lighting the stove, place the empty pot on the supports and confirm that it sits level, does not rock, and is supported by the stove arms rather than the thin heat-exchanger shroud.

Do the slots lock the pot onto the stove?

No. The slots help align and stabilize the pot on compatible supports, but they are not a locking mechanism. Always confirm the pot is seated correctly before adding water or lighting the burner.

How is this different from the Petrel G2 and G3 pots?

The Ramen Pot has a wider, shallower 27.1 fl oz (800 ml) body that fits a full noodle block and provides more room for stirring and eating.

It also has separate slot patterns for compatible three- and four-arm stoves. The G2 and G3 are taller and narrower and primarily use slots for compatible three-arm stove supports.

Can a 230 g fuel canister fit inside?

No. The wide, shallow body is not tall enough to store a standard 7.8–8.1 oz (220–230 g) canister with the lid closed.

A standard 3.5–3.9 oz (100–110 g) canister fits inside and may leave room for a compact stove, depending on the stove dimensions.

Why does an 800 ml pot have a 900 ml mark?

The pot includes 16.9 fl oz and 30.4 fl oz (500 ml and 900 ml) measurement marks. The product is sold as an 800 ml cooking pot.

The 900 ml mark is a measuring reference, not a recommended fill level for boiling. Leave adequate headspace for noodles, soup, foam, and bubbling water.

Does the HX base make a noticeable difference?

Yes. The integrated heat-exchanger helps transfer heat more efficiently, reducing boil time and fuel use outdoors.
