Fired up my Fire Maple for the first time recently and cooked two freeze dried meals separately while on a hike. Both meals required about 500 ml of water and the fire maple was able to bring the water to a boil extremely quickly! The whole unit packs nicely into itself along with a 100 gram fuel tank. After weighing the fuel tank and comparing it to an unused tank the Fire Maple consumed 15 grams of fuel to boil about 500ml twice on a warm day with minimal wind with the flame set to maximum. This may not be the most fuel efficient unit on the market but at a fraction of the price of the competition I am extremely satisfied. Build quality is excellent and I'm sure my unit will last for years to come.

This is a great stove. Its size is perfect for larger groups. Sets up easy. The twist lock connection between the canister and stove is less finicky than my jet boil. Boils fast. Sets up fast. Fantastic value for what you are getting.
