Does the SOTO WindMaster TriFlex fit the Petrel G3?
Yes. The SOTO WindMaster with the three-arm TriFlex support is listed as compatible with the Petrel G3. Align all three supports with the heat-exchanger slots; minor resistance may occur, but modification is not required. The reviewed result also shows the stove can fit inside with a 110g canister, but not with a 230g canister.
Does the SOTO WindMaster 4Flex fit Petrel pots?
The reviewed 4Flex result applies to the Petrel Ramen Pot: it is compatible, fits inside, and can nest with a 100/110g canister. For the Ramen Pot, do not use the three-arm TriFlex support; it is not stable with the wider pot. We do not currently list a reviewed WindMaster 4Flex result for the Petrel G3 or G2.
Does the MSR PocketRocket Deluxe fit the Petrel G3?
Conditional. The PocketRocket Deluxe can be used with the Petrel G3 and fits inside with a 110g canister, but its supports do not seat perfectly in the heat-exchanger slots. Confirm that the pot is secure before ignition, and avoid full power if flame rises outside the heat-exchanger ring. It does not nest with a 230g canister.
Does the BRS-3000T fit the Petrel G3?
No. The BRS-3000T stock supports do not fully seat in the Petrel G3 slots. Do not modify the supports to force a fit, because overheating can deform them. Check the table for the separate result for each Petrel pot.
Which stoves fit inside the Petrel G2?
Current stove-only nesting results marked Yes include FireMaple GreenPeak Standard, GreenPeak Pro, GreenPeak II, Hornet II, Torch, Petrel Titanium Ultralight Remote Stove, FMS-103, Blade 2, FMS-116T Heat Core, Buzz, Polaris canister-top, FMS-105 / FMS-105+, FMS-102 and FMS-121, plus the MSR PocketRocket Deluxe. The SOTO WindMaster TriFlex fits the G2 for cooking, but its stove-only nesting result is not yet verified.
Can a stove and 110g canister nest inside the Petrel G3?
Sometimes. The G3 stove-plus-110g result is Yes for FireMaple GreenPeak Standard, GreenPeak Pro, Hornet II, Torch, Polaris canister-top, Buzz, FMS-116T Heat Core and FMS-102; SOTO WindMaster with TriFlex; Kovea V1 / KGB-1607; and the MSR PocketRocket Deluxe. PocketRocket Deluxe remains a Conditional pot fit. A successful stove-only fit does not automatically mean a 110g canister will fit too.

The Petrel G3 works best with stove supports that enter its narrow 120° heat-exchanger slots cleanly. Reviewed Yes results include the SOTO WindMaster with TriFlex, FireMaple GreenPeak Standard and GreenPeak Pro, Hornet II, Torch, and selected Kovea and Primus stoves. There is no single best stove for every Petrel G3 setup: secure pot fit, stove-only storage, and stove-plus-canister nesting are separate checks. MSR PocketRocket models are Conditional rather than full stock fits because their supports may not fully seat. The BRS-3000T, GreenPeak II, FMS-105 / FMS-105+, FMS-300T, Blade 2, Polaris Remote Stove, and Optimus Crux are currently listed as No. Always review the exact row and note before use.

The Petrel G2 has a wider heat-exchanger base than the G3, allowing some stove supports that do not seat correctly in the narrower G3 slots. Reviewed Yes results include FireMaple GreenPeak Standard, GreenPeak Pro, GreenPeak II, Hornet II, Torch, FMS-105 / FMS-105+, and several other FireMaple stoves, as well as the SOTO WindMaster with TriFlex and MSR PocketRocket Deluxe. The PocketRocket Deluxe fits well and can nest with a 110g canister; a 230g canister does not fit in the reviewed setup. The wider Petrel Ramen Pot uses a different support geometry, so conclusions cannot be borrowed from the G2 or G3. Confirmed compatible options include the SOTO Amicus with four-arm support, SOTO WindMaster with 4Flex, MSR PocketRocket 2, selected FireMaple stoves, and selected Kovea models. The WindMaster 4Flex fits inside with a 100/110g canister, while a 230g canister does not fit in the reviewed setup. Do not use the WindMaster TriFlex with the Ramen Pot: its three supports are not stable with the wider pot. PocketRocket Deluxe is Conditional because its supports do not align naturally with the slots, and BRS-3000T is not recommended because the supports sit too far inside the heat-exchanger ring.

Stove Compatibility vs Nesting
Stove compatibility and nesting are different checks. A stove may support the pot correctly but not fit inside it for storage. A fuel canister fitting inside the pot also does not mean the stove and canister will fit together at the same time.
FireMaple canister testing: For FireMaple stoves, fuel-canister results are based on FireMaple fuel canisters. Other brands can vary in height and bottom-recess depth, which may affect nesting fit and whether the lid closes.

A named setup was reported by a user. Reports are reviewed before they are added to the public list.
Not verified
We do not yet have enough evidence for that specific packing check. It should not be read as a failed fit.
Compatibility is not the same as manufacturer approval.
Always follow the stove maker’s instructions, keep required clearances, and discontinue use if the setup is unstable. “Fits pot” and “fits inside the pot” are separate results.

Does “fits pot” mean the stove and fuel canister also fit inside?
No. Pot fit, stove-only nesting, stove plus 110g canister nesting, and stove plus 230g canister nesting are four separate checks.
What does “Not verified” mean?
We have not confirmed that exact part of the setup yet. It is an unknown result, not a “No” result.
Why is my stove not in the Petrel compatibility list?
The database only shows reviewed records. A missing model may simply not have been tested or submitted yet.
Can I submit my own Petrel stove test?
Yes. Send the exact pot and stove model, your observed fit, and a public evidence link if available. FireMaple reviews submissions before publication.
