Why should I choose this remote stove over a smaller canister-top stove?

Two words: Safety & Stability.

- Low Center of Gravity: The stove sits directly on the ground, not perched 10cm up on a canister. You can stir a heavy pot of stew without holding the handle for fear of it tipping over.
- Big Pot Friendly: Its wide, serrated legs can support much larger cookware (up to 3-4 person pots) than a standard ultralight stove.

Does it have an igniter?

Yes! This is a rare feature for heavy-duty remote stoves. It features a built-in Piezo Electric Igniter, so you don't have to fumble with a lighter while crouching on the ground.

Can I use the gas canister upside down for winter?

No. The FMS-125 PRO is designed for Upright use.

- Why: It does not utilize a preheat tube loop. Inverting the canister would send liquid fuel directly to the burner, causing a dangerous, uncontrollable yellow flare-up.

Do I need a separate windscreen?

In most cases, no. The burner head features a "Concave" (sunken) design with a built-in micro-windshield ring.

Benefit: The flame sits inside a protected cup, so light breezes won't blow it out. However, for extremely windy open ridges, a separate foil windscreen is always a good backup.

Is it durable?

It is built like a tank. Constructed from thick-gauge Stainless Steel and Aluminum, it is designed to take a beating in your backpack. It’s slightly heavier (approx. 240g) than titanium stoves, but the trade-off is superior ruggedness and pot support strength.

The storage box looks unique. Does it have a special function?

Yes, it is a 2-in-1 Smart Case.

- Protection: It is a rigid hard-shell case that protects the stove and hose from getting crushed in your pack.
