Does the Star X1 include a pot support or canister stand?

No. The standard Star X1 includes the integrated pot and burner, but the pot support adapter and fuel canister stand are sold separately.

What fuel canisters does the Star X1 use?

The Star X1 fits standard EN417 threaded isobutane-propane canisters. Fuel is sold separately.

Can a 230 g fuel canister fit inside?

A standard 7.8–8.1 oz (220–230 g) canister can fit inside the pot by itself. For a fully nested setup with the burner and bowl inside, use a 3.5–3.9 oz (100–110 g) canister.

Some wider canisters, including certain Coleman models, may connect to the stove but will not fit inside the pot.

Can I use a frying pan or kettle?

Yes, but you need the separately sold compatible pot support adapter. Without it, the burner is intended to connect directly to the Star X1 pot.

Is the 1 L capacity for one or two people?

The X1 works best for one person, or for boiling hot water and drinks for two. It is not intended for cooking full meals for a group.

Independent testing found the system most suitable for boiling approximately two cups at a time rather than repeatedly filling the pot to its maximum capacity.

Can the Star X1 simmer?

The valve can lower the flame for noodles, oatmeal, soup, and other simple meals. However, the tall pot and concentrated burner are primarily optimized for boiling water rather than slow or delicate simmering.

Is the Star X1 windproof?

No. The integrated pot and heat-exchanger base provide some protection, but strong wind can increase boil time and fuel use. Use the stove outdoors in a sheltered position.
