Can I simmer with this stove, or is it only for fast boiling?

It offers excellent flame control. While it features fast-boil efficiency, the precise valve allows you to dial the flame down for simmering delicate meals without scorching the bottom of your pot.

What is the maximum pot size I can use with this stove?

The unfolded pot supports create a 114mm (4.5 in) wide base. It comfortably supports solo backpacking pots and standard mugs. For very large or heavy family pots, we recommend a remote-canister stove for a lower center of gravity and wider support.
