What fuel canisters does the Star X2 use?

The Star X2 fits standard EN417 threaded isobutane-propane canisters.
A fuel canister is not included.

Can a 220 g or 230 g canister fit inside the pot?

Many standard 7.8–8.1 oz (220–230 g) canisters nest inside the pot with the burner and accessories.
Coleman 230 g canisters are wider and do not fit inside, although they can still connect to the burner for use.

Can I use a different pot or pan?

Yes. Attach the included stainless steel pot support instead of the integrated pot to use compatible compact pots or small pans.

Can the Star X2 simmer?

The fuel valve allows flame adjustment. It can handle simple one-pot meals, although the tall heat-exchanger pot is primarily optimized for boiling water.

Is the Star X2 suitable for cold-weather camping?

The Star X2 does not have a pressure regulator. It is best suited to normal three-season conditions, and boil times may increase as temperatures or canister pressure drop.

Can I use it inside a tent or vehicle?

No. Use the stove outdoors only in a well-ventilated area. Never operate it inside a tent, vehicle, or enclosed shelter.

How should I clean and store it?

Allow every component to cool first. Wash the pot with mild soap and water, and wipe the burner with a damp cloth without immersing it. Dry all parts completely before nesting them inside the pot.
