Product Details

Built-in heat exchanger and windscreen: radiator fins on the pot base capture burner heat and shield the flame, boiling 0.5 L (16.9 fl oz) in 1 min 42 sec — up to 30% faster than flat-bottom pots in the same conditions.
Integrated piezo ignition: one-click start, no lighter needed. The burner, pot, and windscreen lock together as a single unit — grab and go.
1 L (33.8 fl oz) pot capacity: sized for 2 people. Boil water for two freeze-dried meals, brew coffee, or cook a simple one-pot dinner.
Locking handle and stable base: the stainless steel handle locks the pot to the burner assembly, safe to pour even when full. Fold-out supports keep the system stable on uneven ground.
Note: Coleman 230g flat cartridge is a little bit larger and thus can NOT be nested into the X2 pot but still works with X2 stove. We recommend using propane-butane mixture canisters complying with EN417.

Does it have auto ignition?

Yes. The Star X2 has a built-in piezo igniter — one click to start, no lighter needed.
We still recommend carrying a backup lighter in case the piezo gets wet or fails at altitude.

Does the pot lock onto the stove?

Yes. The stainless steel handle has a fixed lock mechanism that secures the pot to the burner assembly. It holds firm even when the pot is full of boiling water.

Can I simmer, or does it only boil?

Yes, the valve does allow flame adjustment for simmering.

What's the difference between the Star X2 and the Fixed Star X3?

The main differences are capacity and internal storage space:

Star X2 (1.0 L): Designed for 2 people. It has a larger pot and can nest a standard 220g/230g gas canister inside. Great for shared meals or longer journeys.

Fixed Star X3 (0.8 L): Designed for solo use. It’s lighter, more compact, and can nest a smaller 110g gas canister inside.

How to choose: Pick the X2 if you are cooking for two or going on a longer trip, and choose the X3 for fast-and-light solo adventures.

What canister fits best inside the pot? I have a 220g coleman fuel canister that is too wide and won't fit.

Standard EN417 isobutane-propane canisters in both 110g and 230g sizes nest inside the pot.
The one exception is Coleman — their 220/230g canister has a slightly wider body than the EN417 standard and won't fit inside, though it still connects to the stove and works normally.
