What fuel canisters does it use?

The Orange Gas Lantern works with standard EN417 threaded backpacking gas canisters filled with isobutane-propane fuel.

How do I light it?

Set the canister upright on a stable outdoor surface and attach the lantern with the valve closed. Rotate the glass to expose the ignition opening, hold a long lighter or match near the opening, slowly open the valve until the flame lights, then rotate the glass opening away and adjust the flame.

Does it have built-in ignition?

No. It requires manual ignition.

How long does one canister last?

At the rated consumption of approximately 0.14 oz/h (4 g/h):
- a 110g canister provides up to approximately 27.5 hours;
- a 230g canister provides up to approximately 57.5 hours.

These are calculated maximums at the rated consumption. Actual runtime varies with flame height, temperature, fuel blend, and canister pressure.

What is the cleaning needle for?

Use it only when the jet appears obstructed and gas flow becomes weak or stops. Turn off the lantern, detach the canister, let all parts cool, and follow the maintenance instructions before cleaning the jet.

Does it come assembled?

Yes. The lantern arrives fully assembled and ready to use — just attach a compatible gas canister and light it manually.
