Just used this weekend for an over night hiking trip. Was easy to pack and easy to use. Wide enough to be stable when using most any pot/pan. We had three hikers and the only thing that could have been better was having another FMS - 125 with us.
Great camping stove. Works wonderfully with plenty of power for larger pots. Only con would be the storage container the stove comes in is complete trash. Great concept with storage box but not properly built. Won’t thread on properly. Shipping from fire maple takes weeks but that is an understandable being it’s coming from overseas. Stove is well built and works great. Would give 5 stars if storage container was better.
Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our FMS-125 PRO Stove. We're happy to hear that it works wonderfully for you and has plenty of power for larger pots. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the storage container and we will definitely take your feedback into consideration for future improvements. We appreciate your understanding regarding the shipping time from overseas, and we're glad to know that the stove itself is well-built and performing well. Thank you for your support and we hope you continue to enjoy your camping experience with our stove. Have a great day!
Best,
the products where in good condition and functional ....very happy
Love this stove when I need more than my Torch or Greenpeak can handle. It's bigger but that's ok. Using a decent fry pan on it is definitely possible. Highly recommend all Firemaple stuff!
Took this stove (FMS 125-Pro) to Philmont for our 12 day trek into the North country and South country averaging an altitude of over 9000 feet for the duration. It worked amazing. Easy start, bought the wind shield to go with it and it heated our 8 qt pot flawlessly every day. Would highly recommend. For any backpacking trip. But definitely get the wind shield.
Great little stove that packs down small. Too heavy for hiking but use in my car with the pan.
I haven’t had a chance to use it yet . Still winter here in Montana.
Yep i really like the stove, - the first hiking stive I've ever owned [ i usually light a fire ] i live in an environment where it is often cracked dry for months on end , - having a means other than fire to cook on became a priority. Used it mainly kayak camping. I bought the 2 litre kettle / pot as well to go with it. Works well and although not the compact ultra light versions of fire maple stoves and pots, , being in a kayak I can afford the weight and space . Although in winter i still will have a fire, the redt if the time, I have a cup of chai ready by the time i would be still collecting wood ! Would recommend.
