What does the Anaconda Adapter do?

It converts a standard 8 oz (220–227 g) bayonet-style butane canister into an EN417 threaded fuel connection for a compatible remote-hose stove.

Which fuel canisters does it fit?

It fits common long, cassette-style butane canisters with a bayonet valve and collar notch, typically containing 220–227 g of fuel.

It does not fit threaded isobutane canisters, 1 lb propane cylinders, or pierceable cartridges.

Which stoves can I use it with?

Use it only with compatible remote-hose stoves that accept an EN417 threaded fuel connection.

A matching thread alone does not guarantee that every stove, lantern, or appliance is approved for this adapter.

Can I use it with a canister-top stove?

No. The Anaconda is intended for remote-hose stoves.

Placing a stove and cookware directly above a tall cassette canister creates a narrow, top-heavy setup and is not the intended configuration.

How should I position the butane canister?

Place the canister horizontally on firm, level ground with the collar notch facing straight up.

The notch indicates the position of the internal vapor pickup. If the canister rotates and the notch points downward, liquid butane may enter the fuel line and cause a large flare.
