Do I need paper filters with this?

No. The double-layer stainless steel mesh is designed for paperless pour-over brewing.

Some fine coffee sediment may pass through a metal filter. Use a medium to medium-coarse grind if you prefer less sediment.

Will it fit my cup or mug?

The filter measures 4.7 in (120mm) across when open and is designed to rest over compatible mugs and cups.

Before pouring, confirm that all three support arms sit securely on the rim. Very wide openings, narrow bottles, or irregular cup rims may not provide stable support.

How should I clean it?

Remove the grounds and rinse the filter soon after brewing, before coffee oils and particles dry inside the mesh.

For a deeper clean, use a soft brush and mild dish soap, then allow the filter and storage bag to dry fully before packing.

Does it fold down for packing?

Yes. The support arms fold inward against the filter cone to reduce pack size for easier storage inside mugs and cook kits.
