Yes. The kettle includes a lid-mounted analog thermometer, so you can monitor the water temperature without carrying a separate gauge.

What temperature should I use for pour-over coffee?

The thermometer marks a coffee-brewing range of approximately 194–205°F (90–96°C). Your preferred temperature may vary with the roast, grind, and brewing method.

What does the gooseneck spout do?

The narrow spout helps you control the speed and placement of the water. This makes it easier to bloom the grounds, pour in slow circles, and avoid flooding one area of the coffee bed.

Can I heat it directly on a camping stove?

Yes. Place it on a stable gas or alcohol camping stove and keep the flame beneath the base.
Do not allow flames to wrap around the body or reach the handle.

Can I use it over an open campfire?

A stable camping stove is recommended.
Direct campfire flames can reach the side handle and lid thermometer, so the kettle should not be marketed as a hanging or direct-fire bushcraft kettle.
