Do I need the Z1 Adapter, and what fuel canisters does it work with?

Standard threaded isobutane canisters connect directly — no adapter needed.
If you'd like to run a 1 lb propane tank, you'll need the Fire Maple Z1 Adapter.

How do I light it if there's no built-in igniter?

Just use a match or long-reach lighter. Turn on the gas, then ignite at the burner head.

Will propane leave soot on my cookware?

No — the burner is tuned specifically for propane, producing a steady blue flame instead of the yellow flare common with mismatched burners. That means cleaner cookware and more efficient heat transfer.

Does it perform well in wind and cold weather?

Yes — propane performs reliably in colder temperatures, and winter testing boiled 500 ml (17 fl oz) in just 2 min 10 sec.
In windy conditions, we recommend using a windscreen or cooking in a sheltered spot for best performance.

Can I use it inside a tent, RV, or enclosed space?

No. This stove is designed for outdoor use only in well-ventilated areas. Like all gas stoves, it produces carbon monoxide and should never be used inside tents, vehicles, RV interiors, or enclosed spaces.
