What is the difference between the Firefly and the Orange lantern?

Think of the Firefly as the "Dreamy Ultralight" version.

- Weight: The Firefly is significantly lighter, weighing only 89g (3.1oz) compared to the Orange's 140g.

- The Light: The Firefly features a Frosted (Diffused) Glass Globe, which creates a soft, glowing orb effect that spreads light evenly. The Orange has clear glass, which lets you see the distinct shape of the dancing flame.

- Design: The Firefly is more minimalist and compact, perfect for backpacking where every gram counts.

Which one is brighter?

Both are designed for Atmosphere, not high-lumen illumination. However, the Orange lantern's clear glass may feel slightly sharper/brighter, while the Firefly provides a softer, glare-free ambient light that is easier on the eyes in a dark tent.

How do I light the Firefly lantern?

Like the Orange Lantern, the Firefly maintains a classic design without a built-in igniter.

The Method: There is a small lighting access point at the bottom of the glass. Simply turn the gas valve slightly until you hear a hiss, and hold a flame (lighter or match) near the opening.

My Firefly lantern won't light up, or the flame is very weak. Is it broken?

It is likely just a clogged jet, which is common with ultralight gas gear.

The Cause: The gas jet nozzle on the Firefly is microscopic. Even a tiny particle of dust or impurities from the gas canister can block the flow.

The Fix: This is why we include a Cleaning Needle in the box. A simple cleaning will restore it to full brightness instantly.
