Petrel G3 300ml Rice Cooker Insert

Which cooking systems does this insert fit?

It fits the Petrel G3 600ml Pot and the Petrel Quickboil Pro System. It does not fit the wider Petrel G2 pot or Star X cooking systems.

Can I place the insert directly over a stove flame?

No. Place water in the compatible outer pot, then position the rice insert inside it according to the included instructions.

The insert must not sit directly on a burner or open flame.

Is this a real pressure cooker?

No. The sealing ring and locking clasp help retain steam and create a mild enclosed-cooking effect.

Do not modify the clasp, block openings, or use it outside the intended G3 or Quickboil Pro setup.

How much rice can it cook?

It holds up to about 4.9 oz (140g) of dry rice, suitable for solo meals or small two-person portions.

Can I cook anything besides rice?

Yes. It also works for steaming eggs, reheating food, and simple steam-based camp cooking.

Will this rice cooker insert fit my Star X2/X3 or Petrel G2?

No. The current Micro-pressure Rice Cooker Insert is exclusively designed to integrate with the Petrel G3 Pot and the Petrel Quickboil Pro System.
It is not compatible with other FireMaple cooking systems.
