Which Fire-Maple stove models is this igniter compatible with?

This igniter is specifically designed for the Star X Series. It is fully compatible with the FMS-X1, FMS-X2, and FMS-X3 cooking systems. It serves as a direct factory replacement for the original piezo igniter included with these stoves.

Is it difficult to install the replacement igniter?

Not at all. It is designed to be user-replaceable. We have a video guide available (see the product gallery) that walks you through the simple steps to swap out your old igniter for the new one.

Will this work on other brand stoves or different Fire-Maple models?

No. This unit is custom-molded to fit the specific housing of the Star X1, X2, and X3 systems. It will not fit other standalone backpacking stoves or competitor systems.
