Voyager Kerosene Lantern

What fuel does it use?

It is compatible with standard Kerosene or Lamp Oil / Paraffin Oil.

(Pro Tip: We highly recommend using highly purified Paraffin Oil for a cleaner, virtually smokeless, and odorless burn).

Can I use this indoors or inside my tent?

NO. This lantern is strictly for OUTDOOR or highly ventilated patio use. It consumes oxygen and produces Carbon Monoxide (CO).
Never use it inside a sealed modern nylon tent, RV, or unventilated room, as it poses a lethal suffocation and fire hazard.

Does it leak if I pack it in my bag?

Yes, if it has fuel in it. Like all traditional wick-based lanterns, the fuel tank is not pressurized or 100% sealed against upside-down movement. Always empty the liquid oil back into your fuel bottle before packing the lantern for transport.

How long does a wick last?

A very long time. As long as you keep the tank fueled, the wick draws the oil up and burns the vapor, not the cotton itself. If it eventually burns down, the Voyager uses standard flat cotton wicks that are inexpensive and easy to replace.
