Does the Star X1 come with a pot support stand?

No, the standard Star X1 kit includes the burner, the 1-liter heat exchanger pot, a lid, and a canister stand.

Note: If you want to use regular cookware like a frying pan or kettle, we highly recommend adding the FireMaple X-Series Pot Stand to your order.

What’s the difference between the Star X1 and the Star X2?

The Star X1 is built for simpler, lighter camp cooking at a lower price.

The Star X2 adds a locking handle, a transparent lid, and a pot support adapter for more flexible cooking setups.

If you mainly boil water for coffee, freeze-dried meals, or quick solo cooking, the X1 keeps things simple and compact.

Can I use a frying pan with the Star X1?

Yes — but you'll need the optional Pot Support Adapter.

Without the adapter, the burner is designed specifically for the included Star X1 pot.

Does a 230g (large) fuel canister fit inside the pot?

Yes — a 7.8 oz (230g) canister fits inside the pot for transport.

For a fully nested setup with the burner and stand packed inside too, a 3.9 oz (110g) canister works best.

What should I do if the igniter stops clicking?

First check that the stove is dry and the burner area is clean.

At high altitude or in damp conditions, lighting with a standard lighter may work more reliably. Carrying a backup lighter is always recommended outdoors.

Can I cook more than just boiling water?

Yes. The Star X1 works well for simple meals like noodles, oatmeal, pasta, coffee, and freeze-dried food.

It’s optimized for fast heating and quick camp meals rather than slow simmer cooking.
