What is the FMS-108 designed for?

The FMS-108 is intended for car camping, basecamps, group trips, and outdoor cooking setups where a raised stove and broader cookware support are more useful than minimum pack weight.

At 2.5 lb (1,134 g), it is not designed as an ultralight backpacking stove.

What does the adjustable leg system do?

What cookware works best?

Use basecamp pots and pans whose bases contact the supports evenly and remain centered above the burner.

The broad frame is better suited to larger cookware than compact backpacking stoves, but no universal maximum cookware weight is currently confirmed. Avoid loads that become top-heavy or extend far beyond the supports.

Can I use the stove on uneven ground?

No. Use it only on firm, level, nonflammable ground.

The wide leg layout creates a broad cooking platform, but it does not make the stove safe on loose soil, slopes, rocks, or uneven terrain.

What does the preheat tube do?

The preheat tube warms liquid fuel before it reaches the burner.

This allows the stove to operate with an inverted canister after warm-up, providing another fuel-delivery option when colder temperatures reduce normal canister vapor pressure.
