Born from the Trail. Est. 2003.
In the autumn of 2003, a young hiker named David Lyu stood on a mountain trail in Southeast China, surrounded by a vast sea of maple trees blazing with crimson and gold. In that single moment - standing in the wild, miles from anywhere - he found both a name and a purpose.
David was one of China's earliest hiking enthusiasts, hiking long before outdoor culture existed in the country. On every trip, he faced the same frustration: cooking gear that was too heavy, too fragile, or too complicated for real adventures.
So he decided to build something better.
Fire Maple was founded on a simple belief: outdoor cooking should be light enough to carry anywhere, tough enough to work everywhere, and simple enough that all you need to do is strike a flame.
What started as one hiker's mission has grown into a global community. Today, Fire Maple is trusted by adventurers in 80+ countries - from weekend campers to Himalayan mountaineers. But the spirit hasn't changed. Every product is still designed the way David designed the first: on the trail, for the trail.
For over 22 years, Fire-Maple has been laser-focused on one thing only: outdoor cooking gear.
Our promise remains the same:
every gram matters
built for the worst conditions
strike, flame, cook, done
the wild places we love deserve to stay wild
