Why should I carry a table for backpacking?

The Petrel Table solves the biggest frustration in the wild: finding a flat spot to cook.

- Stability: It acts as a rigid platform for your stove, preventing accidental spills on bumpy grass, sand, or snow.

- Hygiene: It keeps your food, spoon, and cup lid off the dirt.

- Organization: It creates a dedicated "mini-kitchen" space, so you aren't balancing your boiling water on a precarious rock.

Is it just a table, or does it do more?

It is actually a 2-in-1 system. The legs are specially designed to curve and lock around standard gas canisters. This means the table doubles as a canister stabilizer base, locking your fuel securely in place while providing a work surface above it.

Which gas canisters does it fit?

The adjustable legs are designed to clamp securely onto standard 110g (Small) and 230g (Medium) isobutane/propane canisters.

Setup Tip: You can use the table over the canister (to hold the stove) or independently as a standalone side table by adjusting the leg width.

How much weight can it hold?

Despite weighing only 191g (6.7oz), the aluminum alloy structure is surprisingly strong. It has a tested static load capacity of 2kg (4.4lbs).

Real-world context: This is more than enough to safely support a standard gas canister, a stove, and a pot filled with water (plus your coffee dripper!) without any issues.

Is it heat resistant? Can I put a hot pot on it?

Yes. The tabletop is made of Anodized Aluminum, which is heat-resistant and scratch-resistant. You can safely place a hot pot or a running stove directly on the surface without worrying about melting or warping (unlike plastic tables).

Will it rust if I leave it in the rain?

The main body is aluminum and the hardware is stainless steel, making it highly corrosion-resistant. However, we always recommend wiping it dry before long-term storage to keep the folding mechanism smooth.
