Star X2 Pro Cooking System

Overall, I’m very satisfied with the Fire Maple X2 Pro. The system works well, is efficient, and is convenient to use.

The only thing I would improve is the attachment/locking mechanism. Sometimes it can stick a little, so I think the mechanism could be more precise and better refined. This may also depend on the conditions of use.

I would also appreciate a more durable storage bag. Mine somehow developed a small hole while simply being carried in my backpack, even though the conditions of use were completely normal and careful. I’m not really sure how it happened.

Apart from that, I’m very happy with the system and overall I think it’s a great product.

They advertise this as being able to nesting a 230g isobutane canister inside the pot. This isn't reality. I have tried 3 different brands, none of them even come close to fitting. When I asked customer service about this, they said I was doing it wrong. Thats it. No info on which brand they use to make their claims, and they do not have a house brand. After 4 hours of back and forth, they finally suggested that I flip the stove upside down, but that also didn't help. Absolutely will not be using this company again.

I don’t know why anyone would consider other competitors at 2x or 3x the price. This product is excellent.

Worked like a charm, used it in backcountry in Kings Canyon at 10k elevation and did an amazing job.

I went camping with this for four straight days. It was the only thing I used for cooking or heating up water. It preformed flawlessly. The one complaint I had was that the latch/lock on the handle stopped working after three days of use. That was a minor issue.
The only other issue I had was the shipping tracking. I am used to clicking on a link and having it go directly to ups or fedex but it goes to a different third party shipper. I thought it was a bit unusual but it still got to me.

Fantastic device! I'd been using another brand which broke last year and decided to branch out. I'm so glad I did. This system has a wider opening than the last I used and is more stable when the water comes to a boil. I also really like the locking handle as opposed to just a strap. Finally, this system costs less than the other brand I was using. So glad I made the switch.

Amazing pot, boil water fast and saves on fuel. I keep this on my boat for cooking and have the petrel for hiking

I received this cooking system for Christmas. I’ve used it on 2 separate backpacking trips and love the lightweight along with how quick it boils water! Excellent product.

This is a great product. Sturdy, compact, and boils in minutes. I also had excellent customer service after purchase.

This stove is awesome for when you want something that is light in the pack but big on usefulness. Whether it’s heating water for a meal or making a hot drink, it is the perfect system.

What can I say, this stove is great and can do it all, granted I’m small amounts but I used it to cook rice, it took about 8 minutes total. I was enjoying a good meal way before my buddy’s JetB$&labout 10 minutes before him.

Если не ходите в длительные походы, где каждый грамм на счету , то смысла в этой системе нет, не так уж и заметна экономия газа. Тоже сначала приобрел, но , после пары походов забросил и вернулся к старым горелкам.

Nice system very easy to use. Boils water fast. However, I wanted to use it with the Firemaple size small goose neck kettle for pour over coffee. The prongs on the pot support are too short for this kettle.

I ordered this item two weeks prior to a camping trip with an expected delivery date well before the trip. It took nearly a month to arrive and when I reached out to Firemaple for a refund when it was clear it wasn’t going to arrive in time, they simply didn’t care and said I could request a refund when it eventually arrived and that I would be responsible for shipping the item back. As far as the actual product goes, I’m not impressed with the overall quality. The French press I ordered is bulky and the rod doesn’t break down and allow you to store it in the canister like a Jetboil. I will likely be switching to a Jetboil.

The system worked perfectly. I bought the adapter to use 1 lbs. propane tanks. I used it to make coffee, ramen noodles and oatmeal in a deer blind. It was a nice change to have something hot on cold days.

Boils a liter of water in just a couple minutes. Works great, and cools down really quickly to put away

Did not work at all

Have used the Star X2 several times already hiking and camping. So far , so good!
It packs down small and FireMaple has great accessories that pair well with the stove. However, it IS delicate (probably due to weight savings), so it easily tips when out in the backcountry with high winds or unstable ground.

Light weight and durable unit. Great design and everything fits in the pot and then seals up so it packs well. Love the ignition button so you don't have to search for matches to light it

It's really good. Can't recommend enough. Packs down nice and small into the pot (including gas!) and boils water crazy fast and economically. We're going through a proper downsizing of our camp gear and this fits right in.

Had a bit of an issue first off with there being brass shavings in the burner valve. I disassembled the burner valve and blew out the shavings and now it works great. Boils very fast and is constructed very well. So far great buy!

First and foremost, they claim that a 220g isobutane canister will fit inside with the stove. It does not. When I emailed customer service to ask about this, they said "most people don't put it in correctly". No explanation, no actual help, just blamed me. Took hours of emailing back and forth to get any real information, and even then their answer was "the coleman 220g canister doesnt fit. Just keep trying different brands until you find one that fits." If I still had the box, I would return it.

Excellent stove. Super easy to use and boils water quickly. Well made with better features than jet boil.

Waiting to get out and use it, but it looks very well made and the sales and despatch service was excellent.
