Which stoves are compatible with the Petrel G2?

Because the G2 has a wider heat exchanger base than the G3, it securely fits a much wider variety of stoves. It is fully compatible with the Fire-Maple GreenPeak series (both Standard and Pro/II models), Polaris, and Hornet II.

What is the difference between G2 and G3？

The G2 (750ml) is the upgraded, wider version. It holds more water, features a Precision Pour Spout (which the G3 lacks), and is wide enough to nest a 230g gas canister.
The G3 (600ml) is strictly for minimalists looking to save weight and only fits a small 110g canister.

Can I fit a 230g (8oz) fuel canister inside the G2 pot?

Yes! This is the main upgrade over the smaller Petrel 600ml. The G2 750ml pot is wide enough to nest a standard 230g isobutane canister (upside down) with the lid closed.
