Does the wok need to be seasoned before first use?

Yes. Wash and dry the wok, then heat a very thin layer of high-smoke-point cooking oil across the surface. Proper seasoning helps improve food release and protects the carbon steel surface.

Is this a nonstick wok?

It does not use a conventional nonstick cooking coating. With proper seasoning and regular use, the carbon steel surface develops a smoother, easier-release patina over time.

Can the wok still rust?

The nitrided surface improves rust resistance, but carbon steel can still rust if it is stored wet or left without proper care. Dry the wok thoroughly after washing and apply a thin layer of oil when needed.
